Kumaraswamy alleged that the supporters of D K Suresh were distributing QR code gift coupons in the constituency and BJP-JD(S) workers were assaulted when they tried to intervene.

Voting is underway in 14 constituencies of Karnataka, including Bengaluru Rural, in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 26, Friday, while the remaining 14 constituencies of the state will go to polls on May 7.

The Election Commission of India has failed to conduct elections in a transparent manner, Kumaraswamy added.
Shivakumar, however, rubbished the allegations and said that they (Congress workers) were distributing manifesto cards. “They (BJP) have turned desperate. I know what they are distributing. Using Munirathna (BJP MLA of R R Nagar), they are distributing gold cards. We are distributing manifesto cards.”

They were earlier threatening people but now they have realised that people are not caring to those tactics. They are now luring the people,” the post read.

BJP candidate Dr Manjunath is the son-in-law of former prime minister H D Deve Gowda.
