Lok Sabha polls: Omar Abdullah to contest from Baramulla seat

Srinagar, Apr 12: National Conference Vice President and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister will contest upcoming Lok Sabha election from Baramulla seat, the party said today. Omar Abdullah, who is a the three-time MLA, will be pitted against Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Lone and PDP’s Fayaz Mir. Omar has also served as a minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee -led NDA government. Ruhullah is a three-time legislator and an influential Shia cleric from central Kashmir’s Budgam district. He will be pitted against PDP’s Waheed Parra.

Srinagar, Apr 12: National Conference Vice President and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister will contest upcoming Lok Sabha election from Baramulla seat, the party said today. Aga Ruhullah Mehdi has been announced as the party’s candidate from Srinagar constituency.

Omar Abdullah, who is a the three-time MLA, will be pitted against Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Lone and PDP’s Fayaz Mir. Omar has also served as a minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee -led NDA government.

Ruhullah is a three-time legislator and an influential Shia cleric from central Kashmir’s Budgam district. He will be pitted against PDP’s Waheed Parra.
