Today, daily stressors and a sedentary lifestyle prevent many from focusing on their health, including reproductive and sexual health. Many individuals face various reproductive health challenges, such as low sexual desire, ejaculation disorders, erectile dysfunction, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and uterine fibroids.

Moreover, a lack of physical activity and poor dietary habits can exacerbate these problems. It is crucial to address these challenges proactively by adopting a healthier lifestyle, including regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and stress management techniques. Diabetes screening: Starting at age 35, individuals should have a blood glucose test every three years to check for prediabetes or diabetes. In case of obesity or should get screened earlier.

Blood pressure screening: It is important for individuals to monitor their blood pressure to detect potential overall and reproductive issues. People with a family history of hypertension or blood pressure issues should have regular screenings to stay on top of their health.

Semen tests: Semen tests is also one of the important indicators of male fertility health. It evaluates the health and viability of a man's sperm. This test measures several factors, including the volume of semen produced, sperm count, sperm motility (movement), and sperm morphology (shape and size).

Avoid substance abuse: Excessive or frequent drinking and smoking heightens the immediate risk of long-term issues on overall health, including reproductive and sexual health. Quitting smoking is one of the best health decisions you can make to improve your quality of life.

Regular check-ups: Even if you feel well, regular health check-ups (including blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and prostate exams) are vital for early detection of potential problems and maintaining good health. STD screenings: Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) like HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, and herpes have an adverse effect on male fertility. Since no vaccines are currently available for these diseases, prevention is key. Promoting the use of contraception and practicing safe sex are essential measures to prevent the spread of STDs.

Intake of supplements: Certain nutrients and antioxidants, such as CoQ10, selenium, and zinc, have been shown to potentially improve sperm count and function. Additionally, Ashwagandha, a traditional Indian Ayurvedic medicine, is recognised as a promising treatment for sexual dysfunction and male infertility.

Exercise: Maintaining physical fitness is crucial when planning for parenthood. Exercise significantly impacts fertility, and in today's sedentary lifestyle, a daily 30-minute brisk walk can effectively improve fertility rates. However, it is important to note that excessive exercise and intense muscle-building workouts can adversely affect sperm quality.
