She also spilled some beans about whether she ever feels the need to have a life partner by her side. Read on!

Unfiltered Manisha Koirala!

"I've seen a lot of ups and downs, and some people are lucky who don't get so many highs and so many lows and have a very peaceful life. I'm also lucky that I've had a huge amalgamation of experiences. All I can do is hope that at least my outlook on life is not bitter. My work is on that. My work is what I can change and how I see life, like whether I see a glass half empty or half full. Do I perceive life to be traumatic? No. Whenever traumatic experiences happen, don't I learn more about life? Don't I become richer in terms of experiences, in terms of first-hand experience of such huge trauma?" Manisha told Zoom.

Acknowledging her vulnerabilities, Koirala shared, "There are so many things I can take from it rather than becoming sad and bitter and all that. Hala ki, I'm a human being, not a superhuman being. I try to be, but I cannot be. I have lots of flaws. I get anxiety attacks, and I do get insecure. I have all those things that everyone has. I also feel depressed and sad many times. But I say, No, Manisha, get up; it's time for a walk. I feel that once you go through so much, you also realise that there's another side to it. You can pick yourself up and walk. They say that life is not about falling but about picking yourself up after every fall and walking. That's the motto I live by."

Reflecting on her coping mechanisms, Koirala emphasised the importance of self-care and rejuvenation and told us, "I definitely get tired. I definitely feel there's a time for me to take a break and disconnect from everything. I have thought through this. I know what gives me energy. I love energy. I love going into the jungle and going hiking. I love gardening. I have roses and fruit plants. I disconnect and read books. I have spiritual teachers. I learn from them. Like that, life has been very kind. Not everything is about fame and money. There's so much that life offers that money can't buy. We get free too, but we don't appreciate that. Zindagi humein bohot kuch deti hai, bohot hai humein zindagi ko Dene ke liye. Hum bass lena nahi jante because our mind is somewhere else."

We asked Manisha, Do you ever feel like you want to have a family—like you know a life partner who will be there for you in your bad days as well as your good days? To this, the diva said, "I do. I'll be lying if I say I don't. I definitely feel as if there was a male figure in my life. If there was a partner in my life, Probably, it'll be nice to have that. But I have to be very honest: main uske liye intezar karke apna time waste nahi karungi. Agar mere kismat mein likhi hai; toh, I'll get that. Agar nahi hai, toh bhi thik hai. Mujhe lagta hai, I'm living a full life."

"I have very peaceful and loving family support. I've got a great brother and sister-in-law, great parents, and good and loving friends and people. Other than that, work is going great. I enjoy travelling, there's no financial crunch, by the grace of God. So, I'm in a very good space. I feel complete with myself, mentally, emotionally, and physically, in every way. Main toh full life lead karrhi hoon. Aisa kuch nahi hai ki main incomplete hoon, but yes, if I had, then I'd have enjoyed it. If I had a good companion, then why not?" concluded Manisha.

Manisha will be seen playing the role of Mallikajaan in Heeramandi, which will be streaming on Netflix from May 1 onwards.
