A charity event that raises money for The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, the Met Gala also kicks off the annual fashion exhibition, attracting a guest list full of stars handpicked by Anna Wintour.

Last year, the theme celebrated the life and work of designer Karl Lagerfeld, where attendees were asked to dress “in honor of Karl.” Usually, about 450 people attend the gala, including celebrities, rising stars, and big shots from the fashion world.
