Met predicts hot, humid weather with intermittent light rains till July 10

Srinagar, July 03: Meteorological department on Wednesday said that hot and humid weather to remain continue with intermittent light to moderate rains till July 10. It also said that there is a possibility of intermittent moderate rainfall at most places of J&K with heavy rainfall at few places. He said, “On July 4 there is a possibility of intermittent spell of light to moderate rain, thundershower at many places with isolated heavy rain over Jammu division. On July 5 to 6 there is a possibility of intermittent moderate rainfall at most places of Jammu & Kashmir with heavy rainfall at few places”. “On July 7, there is possibility of intermittent spell of light to moderate rain/thundershower at many places with isolated heavy rain over Jammu division,” it said.

It also predicted thundershowers at scattered places of Jammu and Kashmir divisions.

“Today hot and humid weather with possibility of spell of rain & thundershower at scattered places of Jammu division towards late night & early morning, while as spell of rain & thundershower at few places of Kashmir division may occur,” MeT official said.

He said, “On July 4 there is a possibility of intermittent spell of light to moderate rain, thundershower at many places with isolated heavy rain over Jammu division. On July 5 to 6 there is a possibility of intermittent moderate rainfall at most places of Jammu & Kashmir with heavy rainfall at few places”.

“On July 7, there is possibility of intermittent spell of light to moderate rain/thundershower at many places with isolated heavy rain over Jammu division,” it said.

“From July 8 to 10, hot and humid weather with possibility of spell of rain/thundershower at scattered places of Jammu division towards late night /early morning and spell of rain/thundershower at few places of Kashmir division,” it added.

It also added that flash floods, landslides, mudslides and shooting stones at few vulnerable places may occur in between July 4 and 6. It further added that water logging in low lying areas may take place.
