Amol Kale was known as a close aide of Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Apart from his work in cricket, Kale, who was from Nagpur, was a first-generation businessman who settled in Mumbai for over a decade.
Amol Kale was instrumental in doubling the match fee of the senior domestic cricketers in Mumbai for the upcoming 2024-25 season, following the BCCI's decision to double the match fees of domestic players. Kale has often spoken about the need to promote red-ball cricket. Notably, the MCA, earlier this year, announced a prize money of Rs 5 crore to the victorious Ranji Trophy team from the 2023-24 season.
