Mumbai ice cream nightmare: Customer finds human finger in dessert

MUMBAI: A doctor found a portion of a human finger in an ice cream that he had ordered online in Mumbai.After preserving the finger in ice, the doctor contacted the Malad police who have sent it for forensic analysis and started a probe.The portion of the human finger is 1.5cm approximately, police said. Brendan Ferrao, a resident of Orlem in Malad, had ordered three ice creams through an online app. While eating the ice cream, Ferraro felt something odd and came across a portion of a human finger in his mouth. He preserved the portion in ice and reached out to the police. It is likely that the ice cream was contaminated during the packing process," said a police officer.

Brendan Ferrao, a resident of Orlem in Malad, had ordered three ice creams through an online app. One of them was a butterscotch ice-cream from Yummo. While eating the ice cream, Ferraro felt something odd and came across a portion of a human finger in his mouth. He told mediapersons that he was severely traumatized. He preserved the portion in ice and reached out to the police."The finger has been sent for forensic examination. It is likely that the ice cream was contaminated during the packing process," said a police officer.
