Mumtaz Reacts To Zeenat Aman’s Live-In Relationship Advice: Her Marriage Was A Living...| EXCLUSIVE

Veteran actress Zeenat Aman recently took to Instagram and gave advice on live-in relationships. She suggested that young people should consider living together before marriage to understand compatibility and build a strong bond. The post went viral soon after it was shared on social media. Now, actress Mumtaz spoke to Zoom and shared her thoughts on the same.

When we spoke to Mumtaz, she paused for a few seconds and told Zoom, “I don’t agree with Zeenat . Kitna bhi live-in kar lo, kya guarantee hai? What is the assurance that even after living-in for months and years, your marriage will be successful? Main toh kehti hoon, marriage hi nahin honi chahiye. What is the need to tie yourself down in this day and age? Why marry? For children? Arrey, go out there, find the man who appeals to you, and get his baby without physical intimacy. Zamana bahot aage chala gaya hai. Let your children be self-sufficient. Bring up your daughters to believe they don’t need a man to be complete. I have been married for more than forty years. Shaadi nibhani padti hai. It is not easy.”

A celebrated senior actress from Zeenat Aman’s generation feels advocating live-in relationships is not quite right. “As a society and a nation, we are not ready for it. Zeenat should be careful with what she is advising. She has all of a sudden come into this huge social media popularity, and I can understand her excitement about sounding like a cool Aunty. But giving advice that is counter to our moral values is not the solution to increasing your following.”

Sounding increasingly upset, this actress continues, “If girls adopt the live-in culture, marriage as an institution will become obsolete. Tell me honestly, would you marry your son to a girl whom you know to have been in a live-in relationship? Aap Zeenat ko hi le lo misaal ke taur par…She knew Mazhar Khan for years before marrying him. Her marriage was a living hell. She should be the last person doling out advice on relationships.”

Manisha Koirala, a serial love-loser who has been through a series of bad relationships, holds back her opinion on Zeenat’s live-in advice. “I am not a good adviser on relationships. I can’t comment on relationships. Please ask others.”
