Neeraj Chopra, men’s javelin Event, Paavo Nurmi Games Live: After a precautionary break to deal with an adductor issue, Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra returned to action with victory at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland on Tuesday.
Neeraj led the eight-man field comprising the likes of Anderson Peters, Max Dehning and local favourite Oliver Helander for most part as he clinched top spot with a best throw of 85.97m on the day.
Neeraj relinquished the top spot briefly to Helander but his best throw of the night came from the third attempt and it wasn’t to be bettered by anyone else.
