After that, she shared a video of the many-legged invader on social media along with a description of her encounter. Blinkit reimbursed Deepa's money and opened an investigation when the video went viral. Amul also contacted the woman to let her know that they would investigate the situation.

As part of its inquiry, a team from the food department watched Deepa's video and visited her home to question her. Following their interrogation, the officers from the food department went to the Blinkit store located in Sector-22, which is where the ice cream tub containing the centipede was sent.

The officials sent samples of the vanilla Amul ice cream tubs for analysis after inspecting the storage area. There are reports that the Blinkit store had a lot of dust, which raises questions about hygiene.

Earlier on June 12, a customer in Mumbai had found a portion of a human finger in a ice-cream cone he had ordered. The butterscotch cone in Mumbai that had the finger portion was made by Yummo, a lesser-known company.
