Ace Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi's brother-in-law died and his sister was severely injured in a road accident in Jharkhand's Dhanbad on Saturday, officials said.
Pankaj Tripathi’s brother-in-law Rakesh Tiwari died, while his sister Sabita Tiwari was injured in the incident, they said.
The duo were rushed to the Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) in Dhanbad where doctors declared Rakesh Tiwari as "brough dead".
Meanwhile, Pankaj Tripathi’s sister, who suffered a leg fracture, is out of danger, SNMMCH Emergency HOD Dr Dinesh Kumar Gindauria told news agency PTI.
Police said that Rakesh Tiwari was himself driving the car when it lost control and hit a road divider.

As per initial probe, the accident took place at around 4.30 pm at Nirsa Bazar on the Delhi-Kolkata National Highway-2 when the car in which the couple was travelling hit a road divider.

The couple were headed to West Bengal from Gopalganj district of Bihar.
