'Ram Charan is my therapist, he moved in to my parents' home for me': Upasana

Ram Charan's wife and entrepreneur Upasana Kamineni called the 'RRR' actor her 'therapist'. In a recent interview with The Times of India, she revealed that Charan moved in to her parents' place as she was dealing with postpartum depression. Earlier, she said that they had decided to move back in with Chiranjeevi and his wife, Surekha. Charan and Upasana welcomed baby Klin Kaara Konidela in June 2023.

Speaking to the publication, Upasana said that Charan has been a supportive partner. She said, "He has been my strength throughout. During my postpartum, my husband was my therapist and moved in with me to my parents' place. I understand it's not the same for all mothers, so it's vital for them to prioritise their well-being and seek professional assistance when needed."

Upasana and Charan is equally involved in parenting. "His loving attention and active participation in raising Klin Kaara have enriched this phase further. Even her eating habits mirror Mr C. She's a true Konidela," she added.

She also spoke about mom guilt and explained how she and Charan cry more than their daughter. "It's heart-wrenching to leave Kaara. Charan and I cry more than she does. As working mothers, moments of guilt are inevitable," she explained.

Upasana said that motherhood has been a profound journey but not without challenges. She further added that she relies on her mother, Shobana Kamineni, to help her out and raise her baby girl.

Ram Charan and Upasana's daughter, Klin Kaara Konidela, will turn one on June 20.
