Amir Sarfaraz, alias Tamba, was one of Pakistan's wanted underworld dons. He was attacked on Sunday by motorcycle-borne assailants at his home in the Islampura area of Lahore at around 1.30 pm and succumbed to his injuries.

Sarabjit Singh, a resident of Punjab, was awarded a death sentence for spying charges and killing at least 14 Pakistani citizens in bomb blasts in Pakistan's Punjab province in 1990, a claim vehemently refuted by his family and Indian authorities.

Sarabjit Singh's family claims that he mistakenly crossed the Pakistan border while farming.

Reacting to the news of Amir Sarfaraz's death, Sarabjit Singh's daughter Swapandeep said she was satisfied by the development first but she quickly realised "this was not justice".

In an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Swapandeep said what her family wanted was a trial to ascertain why Sarabjit Singh was killed and who was behind it.
