Red Bull hit back at Brown's 'fall like dominoes' dig

Red Bull has countered claims by McLaren CEO Zak Brown that the departure of Adrian Newey is the "first domino to fall" inside the team following the receipt of numerous CVs from other members of staff looking to leave. Last week, Red Bull confirmed Newey would be leaving the team after 19 years of service, sparking speculation he would now join Ferrari. Although Newey will step aside from Red Bull Racing, he will remain with the company through to the first quarter of 2025, working on its upcoming hypercar project. The engineering genius has insisted he is leaving Red Bull to enjoy a well-earned rest following an F1 career that began with March in 1988 before moving on to Williams, McLaren, and then Red Bull. Assessing Newey's departure, Brown said: "It's probably the first domino to fall, my guess is not the the last, based on the resumes flying around."

Brown is convinced Newey's exit will now spark an exodus from Red Bull, claiming that what has gone on over the course of the year since an investigation was conducted into allegations made against team principal Christian Horner was "a bit destabilising".

Assessing Newey's departure, Brown said: "It's probably the first domino to fall, my guess is not the the last, based on the resumes flying around."
