Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Heeramandi released on Netflix last week. While the actors are basking in the praise they are getting for their performance in the show, they are also revisiting some amazing moments from shooting this Bhansali project.

In a recent interview with IMDb, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Taha Shah, Fardeen Khan, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh got candid about working on Heeramandi. But what became the highlight was when Richa roasted Sharmin when she claimed to be a great chef.

Talking about the toughest scene, Richa shared, “The script is loosely literally like an instruction. Lajjo does a big final dance, but you don’t know that it is going to be shot over eight days, or how stressful, complicated, difficult or enjoyable it would be. I had no such big responses after reading the script.” Sharmin added, “There was a scene in which I had to cry for 4 days. I was supposed to cry from morning to night. By the 4th day, my eyes were like potatoes.”

The actor continued, “Dance sequences are probably challenging with Sanjay sir. To reach Sanjay sir’s level of expectation in dance sequences or to even do one percent of what he asks of you is monumental for us. Then we want to go lie down.”

Aditi Rao Hydari also shared that Sharmin Segal was the one who took the longest to get ready on sets. Reacting to this, Sharmin said, “Aditi is a good schoolgirl. If the teacher says you have to submit the homework at this time, Aditi will do exactly that and not one word more in the essay than the needed word count. So according to her, everyone is late and she is on time.”

Later in the conversation, when Sharmin revealed that she is a great cook, Richa laughed and said, “What?” Sharmin responded that she was a really good cook and the salad she ate in the morning was prepared by her. Richa continued to pull her leg and asked if she cut vegetables and did slow claps for her Heeramandi co-star. Sharmin said, “I cook very well. I make proper Christmas lunches.” Richa then quipped, “I don’t think you and I should sit next to each other.”

Taha Shah also spoke about his character being changed twice. The actor shared initially he was supposed to do a three-day long role, but it was later changed to him playing Balraj which was work for 30 days. However, later Sanjay Leela Bhansali saw something in him and offered him the role of Tajdar.
