Salman Khan house firing: 'Shooters were ordered to fire 10 rounds of bullets', says Mumbai crime branch

NEW DELHI: Mumbai crime branch on Monday revealed that the shooters who allegedly fired outside 58-year-old Salman Khan 's house at the Galaxy Apartment in Bandra, were ordered to fire 10 rounds of bullet. "The shooters had two guns and they were ordered to fire 10 rounds of bullets," said Mumbai crime branch. "Mumbai crime branch have taken the accused Vicky Gupta with them to Surat Tapi river, where they had thrown the gun, Police can also add other sections in this case," Mumbai crime branch asserted.Earlier today, Mumbai police initiated a search operation in the Tapi river in Surat to recover the pistol allegedly used by two individuals in the firing incident. Police has recovered a gun and some live cartridges used in the firing. It was during the train's passage over a bridge in Surat that they disposed of the pistol into the Tapi river.

A search for another gun is underway, said the crime branch.The apprehended suspects, identified as Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21), divulged during interrogation that they threw the weapon into the Tapi river from a railway bridge as they made their escape towards Bhuj via train.Surat police commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot confirmed the Mumbai police's presence in Surat to retrieve the firearm used in the incident. The search team, including renowned senior police inspector Daya Nayak, colloquially known as the 'encounter specialist,' collaborated with local divers and fishermen in scouring the Tapi river waters for the weapon.According to the probe, Gupta and Pal reached Surat via road post the Mumbai shooting, later boarding a Bhuj-bound train from Surat railway station. It was during the train's passage over a bridge in Surat that they disposed of the pistol into the Tapi river.
