'Scan to see scam’ posters against BJP crop up in Tamil Nadu

With just days left for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, posters alleging scam by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre have cropped up at several places in Tamil Nadu. The posters have “Ji PAY” written at the top, with PM Modi’s photo and a QR code on it. It also claims that loans of big corporates, worth lakhs of crores, have been written off by the BJP government. The 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be held from April 19 to June 1 in seven phases. Tamil Nadu will go to polls in a single phase on April 19 for 39 Lok Sabha seats.

With just days left for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, posters alleging scam by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre have cropped up at several places in Tamil Nadu.

The posters have “Ji PAY” written at the top, with PM Modi’s photo and a QR code on it. It reads “Please scan and see the scam.”

Scanning the poster leads the mobile phone user to a video.

In the video, a person is heard explaining the BJP’s alleged corruption through electoral bonds, the irregularities highlighted in the CAG report, alleged corruption in various infrastructure projects etc. It also claims that loans of big corporates, worth lakhs of crores, have been written off by the BJP government.

The video then goes on to appeal to the voters to reject the BJP and support the INDIA bloc.

The posters were put up by the DMK functionaries.

The 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be held from April 19 to June 1 in seven phases. The results will be declared on June 4. Tamil Nadu will go to polls in a single phase on April 19 for 39 Lok Sabha seats.
