The iconic actor was hospitalised after his daughter Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding with Zaheer Iqbal on June 23.

On July 1, the iconic actor’s son Luv Sinha dismissed the rumours that Shtarughan underwent "a minor surgery." He clarified on X and wrote, "Regarding my father's health, I'd like to state that there was no surgical procedure. Please do not believe unverified news. We took my father to the hospital for his annual checkup and because he had a high fever. Thank you to everyone who has been concerned (sic)."
