“Cough syrups offer temporary relief, mainly due to ingredients like menthol, soothing both dry and wet coughs.
Contrary to popular belief, these syrups do not work on the throat directly, but act on the respiratory system instead,” explained Dr Manisha Mishra Goswami, MD (Ayurveda), founder of Svahita Ayurveda Clinic, Mumbai.
