It has appealed to city residents to consult doctors immediately if they experience symptoms such as fever, cough, cold, headache, and body pains. Those with symptoms should refrain from self-medication.Those suffering should avoid crowded spaces to prevent the spread of infection. People with co-morbidities, particularly those suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes, and those on continuous medication, should take extra precaution.NMC officials added that there is no reason for citizens to panic. It must be noted that Nashik has not reported any cases of swine flu in the last three months. There were significantly fewer cases in 2023. However, the city experienced a surge in swine flu-positive cases in 2022.The city reported 149 positive swine flu cases between June and December 2022, out of which 10 died while undergoing treatment.
