“If I gave it to Vivek to do, he’d pull it off”, Trump said about his administration's tariff deals with French President Emmanuel Macron.

“He’s going to be with us in some form,” said Trump about Ramaswamy as he referenced and also spoke to the Presidential candidate several times during his rally speech. Trump called him a "smart guy."

Ramaswamy was the opener for the Wisconsin rally, and he was introduced as “The Fake Vivek”, referring to a Trump-style insult, and it was also a part of the leaked memo which asked then-presidential candidate Ron DeSantis to call Ramaswamy by the name.

At the rally, Vivek Ramaswamy even compared Trump to Declaration of Independence signers, especially to George Washington: “Donald Trump is the George Washington of our day.”

Trump is set to announce his Vice-President at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee in July.

In March, speculations about Ramaswamy being the Vice President to Trump were put to a stop. “There’s a lot of press speculation, but I can tell you Vivek’s top focus is making sure we get President Trump elected so that we can take America First to the next level,” Ramaswamy's spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin told The New York Post.

“This country would be lucky to have him serve in the next administration and beyond. In the meantime, Vivek is focused on driving change in the private sector and reforming our economy, including by continuing to push back against the ESG cancer in corporate America.”

According to reports, Ramaswamy was being considered for the post of Homeland Security secretary as he has strong public speaking skills, and he is an Indian American immigrant's son. This could help in countering Trump's immigration policies.
