‘UCC will not affect tribals’: Amit Shah slams Congress, AAP ‘lies’

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday reassured tribals in Gujarat that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will not affect the community as he lashed out at the Congress and the AAP for “spreading lies”. The BJP has already opened its account in the state even before the LS election counting on June 4, Shah further asserted as he referred to party leader Mukesh Dalal’s ‘unopposed’ election from Surat. Launching sharp attacks on rivals in 3 rallies in Rajkot’s Jamkandorna, Bharuch’s Khadoli village and Panchmahal’s Godhra and a mega roadshow in Vadodara – it was the first time Saturday this election season that Shah raised the poll pitch in the state at this scale as he exuded confidence that PM Narendra Modi will win a third straight term.
