Lionel Messi has led Argentina back to a fifth Copa America final for him, and a last for Angel di Maria, with a comfortable 2-0 win over Canada.
Messi has been battling injury all tournament, but he and Julian Alvarez got on the scoresheet to see the world champions defend their title in Miami on Sunday.
Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez opened the scoring after just 22 minutes, and just six minutes after half-time Messi nipped in to convert an Enzo Fernandez shot.
Real Madrid target Alphonso Davies also came off in the 71st minute for Canada, after a challenge from Montiel, unable to continue.
Argentina will face one of Colombia or Uruguay in the final, with the two faing off in Charlotte, North Carolina this evening.
