However, before he could convert his innings to a hundred, Fraser-McGurk was dismissed by R Ashwin's harmless full toss. The incident occurred during the fifth over of DC's innings when Fraser-McGurk had already completed his half-century owing to his fireworks against Avesh Khan. After conceding a single on his first ball, Ashwin bowled a full toss to Fraser-McGurk, who could've dispatched it easily into the stands. Explosive Australian opener Jake Fraser-McGurk had another impressive outing in Delhi Capitals' ongoing IPL 2024 face-off against Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

The right-hander once again helped DC get off to a brisk start, smacking a thunderous fifty, studded with seven fours and three sixes.

However, the batter only managed to hit it straight to RR's debutant batter Donovan Ferreira, who took a simple catch to end his brief yet impactful stay in the middle.

After Fraser-McGurk departed, experienced West Indies batter Shai Hope also went back to the dugout, with Sandeep Sharma running him out at the non-striker's end.

However, Fraser-McGurk's opening partner Abhishek Porel is looking in excellent rhythm, taking the RR bowlers to the cleaners.

As of writing, the hosts were 84 for two in seven overs, with Porel and Axar Patel batting on 27* and 6*, respectively.
