Why are Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan being sent home?

According to reports, Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan were included with the squad solely for the US leg, with their return contingent on any unforeseen injuries. They were part of the travelling reserves due to the logistical challenges the BCCI faces in promptly sending replacements from India to the US or the Caribbean in case of player injuries. Despite this change, the other two travelling reserves, Rinku Singh and Khaleel Ahmed, will reportedly remain with the team.

Rohit Sharma’s team won three games at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. However, the weather forecast in Florida is not favorable, with persistent rain in the last 24 hours. India's upcoming match against Canada on June 15 may get cancelled.
