In a harrowing moment, the woman is seen attempting to grab the window frame before plummeting three stories. Despite being rushed to the hospital with severe head injuries, doctors were unable to save her. An autopsy report revealed extensive bruising and lacerations to her head.
Local reports have not disclosed the woman's name but confirm she was accompanied to the gym by her younger sibling and boyfriend. She had chosen to work out on the third floor despite her boyfriend's request to exercise on the second floor. The woman had only been at the gym for 30 minutes before the fatal fall.
The Pontianak City Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit has launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities noted that the treadmill's position, only about two feet from the window, created an inherently dangerous situation.
