Pune: Three women , one each from Magarpatta, Katraj and Bhugaon, tested positive for Zika late on Friday, taking the total number of infections to 23, including two from rural Pune.The Magarpatta woman (76) is undergoing treatment at a private hospital as she suffers from diabetes, blood pressure and arthritis too.Dr Rajesh Dighe, assistant health officer, PMC, said, “The Magarpatta woman was undergoing treatment for arthritis when she complained of fever, red rash, body and joint pain.Her blood samples were sent to NIV on July 10, which came positive for the infection on July 12. The second woman patient (46) of Katraj had visited a private hospital after she developed fever, red rash and joint pain on July 9. Her report also came positive for the infection on July 12.”The Bhugaon patient (34) had visited PMC-run Sutar hospital after she reported symptoms like fever and rash.Of the 21 patients from Pune city, 10 are pregnant women.
