The reports say that Apple is going to introduce the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max in September 2024 which will be sold alongside the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. While the iPhone 15 Pro has a peak brightness of 1,600 nits for HDR content, rumors say that the iPhone 16 Pro series will come with the same level of HDR brightness.

The display panel size of the handset is likely to be increased on both Pro handsets with the iPhone 16 Pro‌‌ said to be equipped with a 6.27-inch (159.31 mm) display and the iPhone 16 Pro‌‌ Max with a 6.85-inch (174.06 mm) display.

A 9to5Mac report suggests that both smartphones should get a new 48MP ultra-wide camera. This should promise highly detailed ultra-wide photography and videos. It will allow these smartphones to capture more light and detail.

The 9to5Mac report says that Apple may introduce an upgraded telephoto camera in the iPhone 16 Pro models, which may be named the “periscope ultra-long telephoto combination camera.” This will ensure that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will support at least 5x optical zoom and 25x digital zoom to capture far-off objects with ease.

Apple is also reportedly testing a new atomic layer deposition (ALD) technology for anti-reflective coating to reduce lens flare. This is a common issue faced by many iPhone users previously.

Lastly, the report also suggests that we might get an upgraded main camera sensor from Sony for the Apple iPhone 16 Pro series. This sensor will promise improved low-light performance and could capture twice as much light compared to existing camera sensors.
