BMW M4 Competition xDrive launched in India

The updated BMW M4 Competition brings a host of design and functional updates over its predecessor. Around the rear, the updated M4 now features M4 CSL-inspired laser lights. Amping up its M credentials, the new M4 Competition comes with a new high-gloss BMW and M logos. On the inside, the new BMW M4 Competition features an updated interior, which is now in line with the latest BMW models. On the performance front, the new BMW M4 Competition continues to pack a 3.0L twin-turbocharged straight-6 petrol engine.

The updated BMW M4 Competition brings a host of design and functional updates over its predecessor. Speaking of the design details first, the new M4 Competition features updated LED headlights with a new LED DRL pattern, similar to the BMW LCI models like the X5. The controversial kidney grille also goes under a design refresh, featuring horizontal double slats. Around the rear, the updated M4 now features M4 CSL-inspired laser lights.

Amping up its M credentials, the new M4 Competition comes with a new high-gloss BMW and M logos. BMW further offers a plethora of options to improve the performance — everything from double-spoke light-weight M alloy wheels to M Composite brakes for superior braking performance.

On the inside, the new BMW M4 Competition features an updated interior, which is now in line with the latest BMW models. The highlight of its dashboard is the connected curved screen binnacle, which incorporates both the instrument cluster and infotainment system. The updated system runs BMW OS 8.5 and brings a host of features including virtual assistant and wireless connectivity.

Since it is an M car, the interior comes draped in Alcantara leather, M steering wheel with centre marker, M sports seats and more. It also offers features such as seat cooling ventilation, multi-function steering wheel, wireless charging, head-up display and a Harman/Kardon sound system. Customers can further add features such as parking assistant plus with 360 degree camera, steering and lane control assistant, as well as the BMW drive recorder.

On the performance front, the new BMW M4 Competition continues to pack a 3.0L twin-turbocharged straight-6 petrol engine. It produces 530PS of power and 650Nm of torque, which is channelled to all four wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. As a result, the M4 Competition sprints from standstill to 100kmph in 3.5 seconds.
