Galaxy Tab S10 series might get announced as early as October

Last week, a Samsung representative spilled the beans and said that the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 tablet series will go on sale before the end of the year. A simple but telling post on X by @MaxJmb, linking back to an Allround-PC report, suggests that Samsung will announce the Galaxy Tab S10 series in October. Samsung may have decided it's best to bring the Galaxy Tab S10 launch closer to respond to Apple's move. As far as the Galaxy Tab S10 series is concerned, it will probably remain largely unchanged compared to the Tab S9 lineup, meaning we should get a base, a Plus, and an oversized Ultra model. One unusual rumor says the Galaxy Tab S10 series might employ a MediaTek chip.

Last week, a Samsung representative spilled the beans and said that the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 tablet series will go on sale before the end of the year. That confirmation has done away with the possibility of a 2025 release, but there are still five more months to go before the end of 2024, and we could use a narrower time frame.

Thankfully, a new rumor appears to have done exactly that. A simple but telling post on X by @MaxJmb, linking back to an Allround-PC report, suggests that Samsung will announce the Galaxy Tab S10 series in October.

Reacting to Apple's new tablets early?

The initial rumors hinting at an early 2025 release weren't apparently unfounded. However, Samsung may have changed its strategy in the meantime to react to Apple's new iPads sooner rather than later.

In May, Apple announced and released new iPad models for 2024, powered by a brand-new M4 chip.

The design of these upcoming tablets might also be very familiar, and they should all support the S Pen. One unusual rumor says the Galaxy Tab S10 series might employ a MediaTek chip. That seems highly improbable, given that Samsung has its own Exynos chip line it could rely on and has been a long-time Qualcomm client.

Samsung could use the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, which is rumored to be unveiled in October — just in time for a Galaxy Tab S10 announcement later the same month. The same chip could also be used by the Galaxy S25 flagship smartphones early next year.

However, it is also possible that the Galaxy Tab S10 will use the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 instead of the next-gen Qualcomm solution. Time will tell, and if the latest availability rumor pans out, we should find out more details soon.
