AI Pin Charger: A threat!

Humane seems to send an email to its users to explain the mishap that took place. The email read somewhat like this “Out of an abundance of caution, we are reaching out today to ask that you immediately stop using and charging your Charge Case Accessory due to an issue with certain battery cells for the Charge Case Accessory.”

The news comes after Humane received a single report of a charging issue while using a third-party USB-C cable and third-party power source. In response to this “we identified a quality issue with the battery cell supplied by a third-party vendor used in your Charge Case Accessory,” Humane explained.

Furthermore, as a compensation the company will be offering two free months of its subscription service, which is required for most of its functionality.

The safety nets!

After the mishap, it looks like Humane is already hunting for a potential buyer for its business. As reported by Bloomberg, Humane, which is led by former longtime Apple employees Imran Chaudhri and Bethany Bongiorno, is “seeking a price of between $750 million and $1 billion.”Critics argued that it might be a tough sell after the $699 AI Pin’s debut.

Early reports suggest that many users complained that the device responses were slow. However, the company didn’t say if it will offer a replacement charging case or if it “will share additional information” after investigating the issue.

Moreover, “Rest assured we are committed to your safety and satisfaction and will share additional information when we have concluded our investigation,” Humane highlighted in an official email.
