Apple is set to launch its next-gen iPhones late this year. The highly anticipated iPhone 16 series is slated for a September launch this year, stirring up plenty of speculation online about its features. While a lot has been revealed through these online leaks, a recent leak now suggests a significant redesign might be in store.

TechNetBook has acquired cases purportedly for the iPhone 16, revealing a new iPhone 12-like vertical rear camera setup. Additionally, the cases indicate a new cutout on the right-side housing a dedicated camera shutter button for the iPhone 16 Pro models. It is said that Apple could use Haptic engine technology enabling users to focus on subjects with a light tap and capture photos with a double tap or a firm press.

iPhone 16 may also contradict previous reports that suggest Apple could eliminate physical button altogether. This new leak hints that iPhone 16 may feature additional buttons alongside the volume controls, power switch, and an ‘Action’ button.

Apple debuted the ‘Action’ button with the iPhone 15 Pro series. This customisable button replaced the traditional mute switch and offered users the ability to assign different functions to suit their preferences and needs. This could continue with the next generation of iPhones.

Amongst the other rumours related to the iPhone 16 series, it is said that Apple is planning to introduce thinner bezels around the display of the iPhone 16 series, particularly with the iPhone 16 Pro models. This design update aims to enhance the overall aesthetics of the phones by making the screens appear larger without increasing the physical size significantly.

Further there are talks that upcoming iPhone models may feature OLED displays using a new material set from Samsung. These upgraded panels would reportedly switch from blue fluorescent technology to blue phosphorescence technology. This move is expected to enhance the efficiency of the iPhone’s display, potentially leading to better battery performance while maintaining or improving overall screen quality.
