A new leak hints the smartphone may offer 20 per cent more brightness in SDR mode, compared to 1,000nits on the iPhone 15 Pro. The screen (which may use micro-lens OLED technology) may get larger at 6.3 inches (from 6.1 inches) and sport slimmer borders. Brighter Display: Citing Weibo tipster Instant Digital, MacRumors reported the company could offer more brightness in SDR mode. The number could peak at 1,200nits, a significant upgrade after 2021. If this leak materialises, this could mean more shine in the typical mode. HDR and outdoor brightness may remain unchanged at 1,600nits and 2,000nits.
A18 Pro Processor: The upcoming 'Pro' iPhone could use a 3nm A18 Pro chipset, which may succeed the A17 Pro. Besides upgrades in processing, the chipset may get a new Neural Engine for AI tasks. The phone may boast improved thermal efficiency because of a graphene-based system and a metallic casing for the battery. Rumoured to sport Wi-Fi 7 and a Qualcomm Snapdragon X75 5G modem, the phone may bring a big boost in connectivity.
Cameras: The iPhone 16 Pro could have an improved 48MP primary lens for better output. Plus, a 48MP ultrawide sensor may be a part of the array on the rear. As per MacRumors, the battery pack (likely 3,355mAh) may support 40W wired and 20W wireless charging. Plus, the phone could get slimmer MagSafe magnets.
