iQOO Z9 Lite tipped to launch as brand’s first entry-level 5G phone

iQOO has never launched a low-end budget phone since its inception as the primary focus has always been on the mid-range and premium flagship segment. However, that might change soon if the latest rumours are to be believed. iQOO is reportedly working on a new affordable 5G phone dubbed the iQOO Z9 Lite.

iQOO Z9 Lite launch timeline revealed

As the name suggests, this will not only arrive as a cheaper version of the standard iQOO Z9 but will be the first entry-level 5G phone.

According to tipster Mukul Sharma, the iQOO Z9 Lite 5G will debut around mid-July, probably in India.

The handset is expected to come in brown and blue colours.

Unfortunately, no other details of the phone are revealed at the moment but there are speculations that the handset will be a rebrand of the Vivo T3 Lite.

The Vivo T3 Lite is set to debut on June 27th and is teased to be the company’s most affordable 5G phone.

iQOO Z9 Lite: what do we know so far?

If iQOO Z9 Lite is a rebrand of the Vivo T3 Lite, we know some rumoured specifications. The handset is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and features dual cameras on the back.

As said, Vivo T3 Lite is being teased to arrive as an affordable 5G offering which paints a picture of where the iQOO Z9 Lite will be placed. Currently, iQOO has iQOO Z9 and iQOO Z9x in the lineup, both of which are placed under Rs 20,000. There are chances the iQOO Z9 Lite might be priced under Rs 12,000 or less than that too.
