Kia Motors have teased the EV3 SUV on its official social media handles. The teaser is actually a picture of the SUV which they previously showcased as a concept. We can see the front view of the SUV and it looks like a production ready model. Also, Kia has seems to be generous by maintaining the concept design on the production version!

Launch & Expected Price
Before talking about other details, let’s talk about the launch timeline and expected price. Kia EV3 is all set to make a global debut on 23 May 2024. That said, we can expect the prices to be announced in the next few days. Also, it is highly expected that Kia will bring the EV3 to the Indian car market. But what about pricing? Well, it is a bit too early to talk about the pricing. The EV SUV series has been a luxurious offering from Kia as the EV6 has been priced above Rs 50 lakh in India. While the upcoming EV9 is expected to be priced more than Rs 90 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Talking about the Kia EV3 as a product, of course it will be an electric SUV in the Kia lineup. It will be sharing the design cues with other Kia SUVs like the EV6 and the EV9. In fact its concept version appears to be very similar to the flagship EV9 SUV. Dimension-wise it is expected the EV3 to be as big as the Kia Seltos with a length measuring up to 4.2-meters.
For interiors however, Kia states that it has used quite a lot of sustainable materials in the interiors. Rest, the SUV will come loaded with fancy features and other equipment. We can expect the SUV to get a large panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, premium sound system, Level-2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, bigger touchscreen, advanced digital instrument cluster, soft-touch treatment, and a lot more.
Powertrain
The Kia EV3 will be based on the E-GMP platform which has been developed by Hyundai. It is the same platform that also underpins the EV6 and the EV9. What’s special about this platform is that it supports various powertrains and battery sizes. However, we can’t really confirm the exact power or battery figures. That said, expect it to be on the lower side than what the EV6 or the EV9 offers. Even the charging speed will be lower which will only help the brand to control the overall costing of the SUV.
