Microsoft has released the much-awaited Windows 11 version 24H2 (2024) for Snapdragon X Plus and X Elite chipsets, with new features and improvements. However, it is particularly aimed at gamers, as Microsoft plans to make the ARM platform more suitable for playing games in the future.
For starters, Microsoft has provided a new game compatibility mode for Windows on ARM, that includes 1348 games. All the games included in the list run at Full HD resolution at least 30 frames per second (FPS). Microsoft also allows you to contribute to the list or report any errors if you encounter them while playing.
Additionally, Microsoft has introduced Auto Super Resolution (Auto SR), which uses AI to upscale games to improve its native resolution and gameplay. However, this feature is currently limited to CoPilot+ PCs with Snapdragon X chipsets only and should be available for Intel and AMD-powered PCs in the future.

This feature is also different from Super Resolution upscaling from GPU vendors like AMD or Nvidia, which is more hardware-based. If you have installed the 24H2 (2024) update on the eligible device, the Auto SR can be enabled by going into Settings > Display > Graphics page. This feature is also available in the latest Windows 10 Pro update.
Moreover, Microsoft has added a new Prism Emulator that converts x86 or x64 code into ARM64 instructions without extra coding from developers. The tech giant has also partnered with many developers and game publishers to develop a new anti-cheat solution to eliminate piracy.
Finally, Microsoft is also working with Unity to bring its native engine on ARM-based devices for creating 2D and 3D video games.
