The Moto G85 5G launched in Europe as a rebranded variant of the Motorola S50 Neo, which originally debuted in China alongside the Motorola Razr 50 series. If the Indian variant's specs are same as the phone that launched in Europe, the Moto G85 is expected to sport a 6.67-inch pOLED display, Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, three colour options and more. Let us take a look at all we know about the phone so far.

Display and Design

The Moto G85 5G is expected to feature a stunning 6.67-inch pOLED display, which promises vibrant and sharp visuals. With a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, users can expect smooth scrolling and an excellent viewing experience even in bright daylight. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, ensuring durability against everyday wear and tear.

In terms of design, the Moto G85 5G is set to be a sleek and lightweight device. Weighing in at just 175 grams and with a thickness of 7.59mm, it will be easy to handle and carry around. The phone will come in three elegant vegan leather finishes: Cobalt Blue, Olive Green, and Urban Grey, adding a touch of sophistication and style to the device.

Performance

At the heart of the Moto G85 5G is the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, which is expected to deliver robust performance. This chipset, combined with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, should ensure smooth multitasking and ample space for apps, media, and files. For those who require less, a variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will also be available, catering to different user needs.

Camera capabilities

The camera setup on the Moto G85 5G is designed to impress. The rear dual-camera system is expected to feature a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), which should result in clear and stable photos even in low-light conditions. Accompanying this is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, perfect for capturing expansive landscapes or group shots. For selfie enthusiasts, the front camera is expected to be a 32-megapixel shooter, promising high-quality self-portraits and video calls.

Battery and durability

The phone is expected to come with an IP52 rating, which promises protection against dust and water splashes. In addition to this, the device is expected to house a 5,000mAh battery, which should provide ample battery life to get through a full day of use. Additionally, the phone will support 33W fast charging, allowing users to quickly recharge their device and get back to their activities without long interruptions.

Availability

As mentioned already, the Moto G85 5G is set to launch in India tomorrow at 12 pm. Post-launch, the phone will be available for purchase on Flipkart, the Motorola India website, and offline stores.
