Sanjiv Bhasin Stock Portfolio, Tips: Ace investors and IIFL Securities' Director Sanjiv Bhasin, in an episode of ET NOW, shared three stocks that are 'must have' in investors' portfolio. The said stocks are also in his portfolio as well, he revealed.
Before naming of the socks, the ace investor shared a few golden pieces of advice for investors and traders alike.
Sanjiv Bhasin on Markets, Nifty Prediction Talking about his previous prediction on Nifty50, Bhasin said, "22,800 is where we came out with a SELL call - (which triggered) 1000 point correction. At 21,800 (we said) 'BUY the fear', and the fear has played out perfectly. Yesterday (Thursday, May 16) you saw the largest scramble of short covering, I still think there is more upside, may be 22,600. But its good if it remains in a range, we don't want any exuberance before a big event. Global cues are extremely positive."
Sharing on when is the right time to take BUY or SELL decision, he said, "The last man in the crowd, barsati mendhak, have jumped on the other side, but soon they will be back. And when they come back to buy at new highs, that's where you book profits. Fear is a good opportunity as a trader, when you sell in greed and buy in fear."
According to Bhasin, the market has reached an equilibrium and its should stay stable till the Lok Sabha Election results are out.
"Range-bound trade in the index, stock-specific outperformance," exclaimed he while sharing his outlook on Indian stock market.

If you have owned them, you have already been making money, but a large part of that is already in the prices," said he while sharing the 'must-haves'.
"You are aware that there are a couple of manufacturing and defense funds which are on the annals and which have raised huge money. So valuations in this category will always be at a premium. So be choosy, be careful, but don't get lured into the trap. This could be a one off," he advised.
We think numbers are going to be better, but the valuations don't leave much comfort to make money on the wrong side. However, when you think on declines, these are a must have in your portfolio," he said.
"HAL, BEL, and Bharat Dynamics - as a disclosure - these three stocks are in our portfolio," Bhasin added.
