No information received on Quant Mutual Fund investigation: AMFI's CEO

Association of Mutual Funds in India's (AMFI's) CEO Venkat Nageswar Chalasani on Tuesday (July 9) stated that they have not received any official information regarding Quant Mutual Fund investigations.Nageswar made these remarks in response to a question from CNBC TV18 following the declaration of mutual fund performance figures for June.SEBI recently conducted search and seizure operations in the Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad offices of Quant MF, reportedly linked to alleged profits estimated at ₹20 crore.Despite these actions, no further updates have been provided by SEBI since the operations.Meanwhile, Quant Mutual Fund reported net outflows for the first time in 2024.According to data from Value Research, the fund experienced outflows totaling approximately ₹2,800 crore during the final week of June.This marked the end of a six-month streak of positive inflows, constituting about 3% of the previous week's assets under management (AUM).On a positive note, June witnessed robust performance across various categories.The gross Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) inflow for June 2024 reached ₹21,262 crore, with a total of 55.12 lakh SIPs registered during the month.Notably, the net equity inflow surged to ₹40,573 crore, marking a record monthly inflow compared to ₹34,670.9 crore in May.Sectoral and thematic funds contributed significantly, with inflows amounting to ₹22,351 crore.
