Following the Phone (1) and Phone (2), rumours are surfacing about the upcoming Phone (3). While official details are scarce, leaks offer a glimpse into what to expect from this potential summer launch.
Nothing Phone 3 Launch Date in India
Rumours suggest that the Nothing Phone (3) will be launched in July 2024. This aligns with the launch dates of its predecessors, Phone (1) and Phone (2), which also debuted in July of their respective years. However, there is a possibility that Nothing might shift the launch date to align with the holiday season (September-October), which is a strategic period for boosting sales. Despite this, the prevailing buzz indicates a July release is still on the cards.
Nothing Phone 3 Price in India (Expected)
The Nothing Phone (3) is expected to be priced between Rs 40,000 and Rs 45,000 for the base model. To give you a sense of comparison, the Nothing Phone (2) was initially priced at Rs 44,999 for the base version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The more advanced models with 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage were priced at Rs 49,999 and Rs 54,999 respectively. This positions the Phone (3) in a similar price range, making it a competitive option in the mid-to-high-end smartphone market.
Nothing Phone 3 Specifications and Features
Each iteration of the Nothing Phone series has come with significant upgrades. The Phone (1), released in July 2022, featured a 6nm Snapdragon 778G+ 5G chipset. The following year, the Phone (2) came with a more powerful 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Leaks indicate that the Nothing Phone (3) will sport the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, a new chip from Qualcomm that boasts many features of the flagship 8 Gen 3 processor. This chipset is also found in the Poco F6, a mid-range smartphone recently launched in India.
The Phone (2a), another model from Nothing, utilised the 4nm Mediatek Dimensity 7200 Pro processor, but it’s expected that the Phone (3) will stick with Qualcomm for its chipset needs.
In terms of design, the Nothing Phone (3) is likely to continue the brand’s trend of a transparent design, giving it a unique and futuristic look.
To recall, the Phone (2) showcased a 10-bit 6.7-inch LTPO OLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,600 nits peak brightness. It also featured a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP Sony IMX615 selfie camera. It was powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, with up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, and a 4,700 mAh battery.
Although the exact details of the Phone (3) are still under wraps, we can expect it to build on these impressive specifications with further enhancements. This includes improvements in camera quality, processing power, and display technology.
