Nvidia brings AI tool that will let Indian gamers transform themselves into game characters

And at an event in New Delhi this week, the company showcased how it is empowering Indian content creators and gamers by announcing a new lineup of Nvidia Studio PCs. For the Studio PCs, Nvidia collaborated with leading system builders such as XRIG, MVP, Ant PC, Vishal Peripherals and more. These Studio PCs are available via authorised system builders across India and can be recognised by the GeForce RTX Studio PC sticker. When I walked up to the XRIG PC station, I was greeted by a kind smile and a demo session of the tool. All of Nvidia’s Studio PCs that were showcased during the event are equipped with the GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs.

Transforming into a Ghost of Tsushima character

The XRIG PC that was being displayed during the event caught my eye and showcased how you can transform into any game character that you want with Stable Diffusion running on a PC equipped with Nvidia's RTX GPU. Not just that, you can also make yourself look like any character you can imagine from popular fiction. This tool can be super useful for content creators who regularly need new video thumbnails, promotional campaigns, and more.

When I walked up to the XRIG PC station, I was greeted by a kind smile and a demo session of the tool. The demonstrator asked if he could click a picture of me using the PC in real-time and I agreed. After the picture was clicked, I entered a text prompt in the tool, asking it to make me look like a character from the recently launched game on PC- Ghost of Tsushima. And then, the magic happened.

Within seconds, right in front of my eyes, the tool began generating an image and displayed various options where I could be seen as a Ghost of Tsushima character. And it kept refining its work until I told it to stop. The best part about this tool is that it can be used offline as well. This is all thanks to Nvidia’s RTX GPU.

All of Nvidia’s Studio PCs that were showcased during the event are equipped with the GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs. The PCs have been designed to meet the specific demands of Indian content creators and gamers and are preconfigured to take advantage of all the benefits of NVIDIA Studio and RTX Al technologies.

Online text-to-image generation tools

In 2024, text-to-image generation is something that many of us have experimented with. Tools like Microsoft's CoPilot and Google’s Gemini have image-generation capabilities and are being used widely across the world. But there are certain limitations to these free tools.

For instance, CoPilot and Gemini can only generate images based on text prompts and there is no option to modify your own images yet. Hence, you can’t add that personal touch to your images. Also, these AI tools only work online. So if you aren’t connected to the internet, you can’t really create anything.

Moreover, these online AI tools will take their sweet time to generate an image, and you can’t modify an image once it has been created. If you don’t like what has been generated, you will have to create a new image altogether.
