OnePlus 11R selling at its lowest price yet on Amazon India: should you buy?

OnePlus 11R is more than a year old device at this point and its 8+128GB variant is getting a Rs 2,000 discount on Amazon India. That makes 11R’s current price — Rs 27,999, its lowest price ever. Besides this, you can also avail of a few other offers with the purchase of the OnePlus phone. But, is it worth buying the OnePlus 11R in India now? Let’s find out.

OnePlus 11R launched in India on February 2023 at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. However, that device is now available at Rs 27,999 on Amazon. That’s a 30 percent discount.

Should you buy the OnePlus 11R in India now?

OnePlus 11R is running on a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor (3GHz). This chip has been noted for its power efficiency. The phone benefits from a big 5,000mAh battery backed by 100W charging support. It managed a similar 6-7 hours of screen on time as its successor, the OnePlus 12R. The 12R is better in overall performance and battery life though thanks to an expectedly better Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset (3.2GHz) and 5,500mAh battery.

However, there is a major difference in their prices. The 12R starts at Rs 39,990 for the 8+128GB model while the 11R is Rs 11,990 cheaper.

The 11R deal makes more sense when you compare it to other phones in this range. For instance, the OnePlus Nord CE4 is available at Rs 24,998 but only has a relatively weaker Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset (2.63GHz).

Another phone giving tough competition to the 11R is the POCO F6. It is just Rs 2,000 more expensive and has a 3GHz Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with more performance-oriented cores, better UFS 4.0 storage, newer Bluetooth 5.4 standard, and a richer display with stronger Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The camera specs don’t have a night and day difference though.

Also compared to the 11R, both these phones offer Android 14 out of the box and can deliver longer software updates.

So, we find the OnePlus 11R is still a very powerful and sufficiently specced device for the current times although it is older. Especially its new discounted price slots it in a safe place. It’s only if you are ready to pay up that you get better choices.
