It was very recently when Realme announced its next smartphone in India, and now the company has said that they will launch the Realme GT 6- another addition to the GT series. The upcoming device will be marked as an ‘AI flagship killer’ model which aims to differentiate itself from the recently launched Realme GT 6T.

Why AI Flagship Killer?

However, it is yet not determined if the upcoming smartphone will be positioned above the Realme GT 6T in the market. However, the focus on this device will be majorly on the AI capabilities, as suggested in the marketing suggests- as per the X (formerly known as Twitter).

The company has been aiming to bring advanced technology and features to this new model. This launch will signify the end of a nearly two-year hiatus in the GT phone series.

About the upcoming models

In addition to the Realme GT 6 series, the company has been working on launching the Realme GT 7 Pro, which indicates a robust lineup for the GT series this year. The launch date for the upcoming handset is yet to be disclosed, but as per the company, it is tipped that the company has started teasing the product launch, and other details will soon be revealed.

Rumored specifications

Rumours have suggested that the Realme GT 6 might be a rebranded version of the Realme GT Neo 6, which was launched in China a while back. If this information is true, the Realme GT 6 might feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which is the similar chip which was used in the Poco F6 and the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Civi.

The new variant is expected to come with new specifications for the Realme GT 6. As per the speculations, the upcoming smartphone will have a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution with 120Hz refresh rate, and will deliver up to 6,000 nits of peak brightness. It is likely to have a 5,500 mAh battery with 120W fast charging, and a 50-megapixel primary camera, and will run on Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0.

Comparison with Realme GT 6T: What’s new?

The recently launched Realme GT 6T comes with a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 processor and further comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage- giving enough storage for high graphic games.

The device comes with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary shooter (with OIS), along with an 8MP wide-angle lens, the GT 6T is backed by a 5,500 mAh battery with 120W fast charging.

The handset is protected with an IP68 rating and further promises four years of security updates and three years of OS updates- making it a reliable device for upcoming years.

8GB RAM and 128GB storage priced at Rs 30,999

8GB RAM and 256GB storage priced at Rs 32,999

12GB RAM and 256GB storage priced at Rs 35,999

12GB RAM and 512GB storage priced at Rs 39,999
