RVNL Q4 Results | Rail PSU declares dividend of ₹2.11 per share, profit jumps 33%

State-run Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) on Friday (May 17) reported a 33.2% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit at ₹478.6 crore for the fourth quarter that ended March 31, 2024.

In the corresponding quarter in FY23, Rail Vikas Nigam posted a net profit of ₹359 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company's revenue from operations increased 17.4% to ₹6,714 crore against ₹5,719.8 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.

At the operating level, EBITDA rose 21.8% to ₹456.4 crore in the fourth quarter of this fiscal over ₹374.6 crore in year-ago period.

The EBITDA margin stood at 6.8% in the reporting quarter compared to 6.6% in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.

The board has recommended a final dividend of ₹2.11 per share (i.e. 2 1.10%) on the paid-up equity share capital for the financial year 2023-24 subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing AGM. The final dividend 2023-24 will be paid within 30 days from the date of its declaration at the AGM.

The results came after the close of the market hours. Shares of Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd ended at ₹290.75, up by ₹10.65, or 3.80%, on the BSE.
