Samsung teases the circular wearable everyone is waiting for

The Galaxy Ring is one of the most anticipated Samsung products of the year, and it recently made a new public appearance at the company's first Samsung Health Partner Day event. To this end, today, the company held the first Samsung Health Partner Day at the Gravity Seoul Pangyo Hotel and invited roughly 200 industry officials. Samsung presented its digital healthcare vision at the event and discussed ways to build new partnerships and expand the Samsung Health ecosystem. At today's event, Samsung talked more about its Samsung Health SDK for developers and how it will evolve. This upcoming wearable was last seen at MWC 2024 in February but made a fresh appearance at Samsung today's event to remind us that it is coming to the market sooner rather than later.

Samsung is working double-time to make its Health platform as best as possible through new hardware and software innovations. The Galaxy Ring is one of the most anticipated Samsung products of the year, and it recently made a new public appearance at the company's first Samsung Health Partner Day event.

Samsung knows it needs industry partners if it wants the Health platform to reach a higher standard. To this end, today, the company held the first Samsung Health Partner Day at the Gravity Seoul Pangyo Hotel and invited roughly 200 industry officials.

The event welcomed representatives from healthcare companies, investment companies, and professional medical institutions. Samsung presented its digital healthcare vision at the event and discussed ways to build new partnerships and expand the Samsung Health ecosystem.

According to Dr. Hon Pak, head of the Digital Health Team at Samsung MX, the “digital health ecosystem will grow and become more sophisticated.” In anticipation of this market shift empowered by new and clever hardware, Samsung created the Health Partner Day event to bring in new opportunities and strengthen cooperation with industry leaders.

Galaxy Ring, AI, and more

Samsung Health sits at the center of the health and fitness-tracking experience for Galaxy device users, but the company wants the platform to be a lot more open to industry partners and developers.

At today's event, Samsung talked more about its Samsung Health SDK for developers and how it will evolve. It also had a panel focused on the role of AI (artificial intelligence) in the healthcare market.

AI has been talked about a lot lately as the next step in the evolution of the Health experience. A recent patent even revealed that Samsung has been working on ways to enable continuous AFib monitoring through AI by translating PPG signals into ECG.

Back to the Health Partner Day conference, one of the stars of the show was the Galaxy Ring. This upcoming wearable was last seen at MWC 2024 in February but made a fresh appearance at Samsung today's event to remind us that it is coming to the market sooner rather than later.

Once again, the smart ring was locked behind glass panels, but the overall design appears to be the same. Nothing seems to have changed since we saw the MWC prototypes earlier this year. Check out our hands-on video below for a closer look and more details.

Seemingly, only seven Galaxy Ring sizes were showcased at today's event, while the company showcased nine sizes earlier this year in Barcelona. Exactly how many sizes Samsung will sell is unclear, but a new leak indicates that the company has devised a way to help you determine your ring size before you get the Galaxy Ring shipped to your mailbox.

In its recent press release, Samsung reconfirmed that the Galaxy Ring is “scheduled to be released in the second half of this year.” The wearable is expected to be officially unveiled in greater detail at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which Samsung should host in Paris on July 10.
