According to veteran market expert Sanjiv Bhasin, everyone used to say 'stay away from PSU', but that situation has changed now. He said that FIIs and mutual fund managers have missed the rally in the PSU stocks and exuded confidence that the upward journey will continue.
"I bet on large caps because FIIs are there. FIIs completely missed the PSU Rally. 90 per cent of mutual fund managers also missed the rally," he said during an exclusive interaction with ET NOW.
"Everyone said - never touch PSU. That means stay away from shares of government companies. I say never, never say this in the stock market ," Bhasin said.
Cheap PSU Stocks By Sanjiv Bhasin
"NBCC was at Rs 35-40 3 years ago, but became Rs 165. HUDCO was at Rs 70, it is now at Rs 220. Even if IRCON, IRCTC and Engineers India jump 100 per cent, they will look cheaper (agar double bhi ho jaye to sasta rahega)," the market wizard said.
