The Starfield 1.11.33 patch promises to shake up the latest open-world role-playing game by Bethesda considerably on both PC and consoles. The patch launching on May 15th will introduce a frame rate target option on consoles, finally giving Xbox players a way to enjoy the game at 60 frames per second, although with reduced visual quality. The patch will also bring improved surface maps, new gameplay options that allow players to make the game easier or harder, a new Ship Decoration mode, and more. Bethesda is also working on other features that will come to the game later, including a land vehicle for planetary exploration.

With an engaging story, well-developed characters and lore, and a huge amount of meaningful content, Starfield is one of Bethesda's finest games and one of the best role-playing games released in the past few years. The lack of seamless exploration and real innovation of the typical gameplay formula from the studio are noteworthy, but those willing to forego these issues will find a reactive and sprawling sci-fi universe to lose themselves in for hundreds, if not thousands, of hours.
