According to a circular issued by the NSE last year, the stock market will remain closed for 14 days or there will be 14 trading holidays in 2024.
In June, the stock market will be closed for 1 day -- Bakrid.
Tech Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, HCL Tech, SBI, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, L&T and NTPC were among the biggest gainers.

Thus, the equities, equity derivative section and SLB segment will not open for trade.
The public holiday list applies to the capital markets, futures, and options divisions as well.

Stock Market on June 14: Sensex up 182 points; Nifty hits record high
Benchmark equity market extended the winning streak on Friday with both the indices finishing at a new closing high. Buying in heavyweights Reliance Industries and HDFC Bank also added to the momentum. The 30-share BSE Sensex surged 181.87 points or 0.24 per cent to close at 76,992.77. The index made an intraday high of 77,081.30. The NSE Nifty opened gap up and maintained the bullish momentum throughout the day. It hit an all-time high of 23,490.40. The index ended the session at 23,465.60, up 66.70 points or 0.29 per cent.
Among the 30 Sensex companies, M&M, Titan, HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, Tata Motors, UltraTech Cement, Asian Paints and Sun Pharma were the major laggards. Tech Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, HCL Tech, SBI, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, L&T and NTPC were among the biggest gainers. HDFC Bank, SBI and ICICI Bank were volume toppers.
From Nifty 50, Eicher Motors, Adani Ports and M&M gained more than 2 per cent each, followed by Shriram Finance, Titan, Adani Enterprises, Cipla, SBI Life, Bajaj Auto, BPCL, HFC Bank, Reliance Industries and UltraTech Cement. Tech Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, HCL Tech, L&T, IndusInd Bank, SBI, Nestle India, LTIM and Apollo Hospitals were losers.
