Stock Split : Shares of a microcap company are set to become 5 times cheaper as the company is set to go for a stock split. The multibagger stock has multiplied investor's money by nearly 8x in the past one year. The stock will turn ex-date this week on June 21.
Further, the company had also announced a dividend for its shareholders in the fourth quarterly results of fiscal year 2024.
The company is primarily engaged in the manufacture of high energy materials and allied products for the defence, space, mining and infrastructure industries and supplies solid propellants for India's prestigious missile programmes like Akash, Astra, and LRSAM.
The company under discussion is Premier Explosives and its shares have given a massive rally of 505 per cent in the past one year. At the current market price, the company enjoys a market cap of Rs 3,792.91 crore.
Premier Explosives Stock Split
"The sub-division / split of existing 1 (one) Equity Share of face value of Rs.10 (Rupees ten only) each, fully paid up into 5 (Five) Equity Shares of face value of Rs. 2/- '(Rupees Two only) each, fully paid up by alteration of Capital Clause of the Memorandum of Association of the Company, subject to the approval of the members of the Company to be sought by means of Postal Ballot," said the company in an exchange filing.
This means that each share of Premier Explosives will be split into 5 shares, becoming 5 times cheaper than the current market price.
Premier Explosives Stock Split Record Date The company has fixed the record date as June 21 for the stock split. Record date is the specific date on which the company finalises the list of shareholders who would be entitled to receive the split shares.
"Pursuant to Regulation 42 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, this is to inform you that the Company has fixed Friday, 21st June, 2024 as the "Record Date" for determining entitlement of Equity Shareholders for the purpose of sub-division! split of existing Equity Shares of the Company.

Premier Explosives Dividend 2024 Premier Explosives' Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 2.5 per share for the quarter ended March 31, 2024.
"Recommended a dividend of Rs.2.50/- (Le., 25%) per equity share of Rs. 10/- each for the financial year ended March 31, 2024, subject to approval of the members at the ensuing 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Company."

However, the company informed, "The AGM date and book closure / record date for the purpose of payment of dividend will be informed in due course."

The company reported an EBITDA of Rs 10.5 crore vs Rs 3.16 crore in the year-ago period. Total comprehensive income of the company stood at Rs 6.23 crore as against Rs 2.87 crore in the year-ago period.
Premier Explosives Share Price History Premier Explosives on Friday, June 14, closed at Rs 3,529.45 apiece on NSE, up 0.48 per cent against previous close.
The stock has appreciated 37.3 per cent in the past one week, 49 per cent in the past one month, and a whopping 150 per cent in the past three months. Over one year, the defence sector stock has multiplied investors money by nearly 8 times, rising 690.58 per cent in the said period.
Looking back further, the stock delivered massive returns in the past two and three years, rising 1,024.7 per cent and 2,400 per cent respectively.
